SB parts Rose's skin and sinks into her flesh. She grimaces and pulls away. "Man, that hurts. You're fast, but not fast enough." She stabs out with Fate. Energy starts to collect on the tip of the sword as Rose charges her next attack up.

Fate slices Bern's arm leaving a gash that immediately bleeds. He realizes she strong so he decides to change his form to make it an even match. He grasps the back of his head as his flesh begins to tear and shred. His giagantic bat-like wings spread out and stretches, his claws then reaapear as the human flesh is almost gone."Ahhhh, that feels soooo good!"

"Oh, alright, now that's just gross." Seeing him a little distracted, Rose leaps forward, slashing downwards, aiming to tear his front open.

Ayn leads the way into the library, where she sees Rose and a strange new creature fighting. Loren is sitting off to the side and not really paying attention. "What the hell?" She takes a deep breath and bellows. "ENOUGH!!!"

Vorena scratches the back of his neck. "We would have to see how he fights now before we can plan any sort of offensive. Right now we need to focus on defending what's left of our family."

Lara sighs and shakes her head. "I dunno if they'll even listen.."

"Well that's not hard. As woeful it is to admit, there are only a few of our family not gathered here. Fate has truly been cruel to us."

Ayn sighs dejectedly, then makes her way over to Loren, who appears to be staring off into space. "I hope you're not here to be causing any trouble either."

Rather than giving a smart remark as Ayn expected, Loren only turns her head to look at Ayn. Her eyes are wet with tears, and she quickly wipes a stray one away, trying to hide it.

This startles Ayn. "Oh God, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to.." She looks helplessly at Loren, then at Lara, unsure of what to say.

Lara frowns. "She didn't mean to upset you, she's just been going through a lot. She's run into too many bad people, ya'know? She never ment to hurt your feelings..." Lara looks at Loren inquisitively. "Who are you, anyway?"

Rose backs up a step and looks over at Ayn. "It's not my fault, really, Ayn. Mr. Big and Ugly here came and is trying to take Fate from me."

Ayn shrugs and walks over to Rose. "That's great and all, but I'd really appreciate it if you took it outside of the library. It's.. kind of a personal thing."

Loren's gaze shifts from Ayn to Lara. Her eyes seem dull but curious.

"Tell. Him. That." Rose leaps again at Swordstalker, releasing the attack she had been charging. Energy that had collected on the tip of the sword erupts out and forward. The energy takes the shape of a dragon, fangs bared and claws poised to rip into Swordstalker.

Lara waits until Ayn's out of earshot before speaking. "This castle formerly belonged to the Abbis Gale Onarav. See, he was always a bit crazy after the war. Er, you don't know about the war do you? Well, there was this big war with the Abbis a long time ago and our whole race pretty much got erased, no one really got over it. So Gale was a little loopy after it. Well, it seems he got himself a girlfriend, a big surprise if you knew the guy. It seems it was all good for a while, and then she died. It seems Gale doesn't take loss well, so he decides to kill everyone.

A bunch of us went to stop of him...a few never came back. Gale's brother One, Fury Three, Rikali, Ayn's sister Bianca, Jekin..." Lara sniffles, remembering Jekin. She shakes it off and continues. "When we got here we discovered he was in league with Rand, one of Ayn's old enemies. It came down to a finally battle between Gale and Ayn, and she won. Then Rand seized the moment and told her that she was half-Abbis, and that Gale was her brother. After that, she lost all will to live and Rand almost killed her. Luckly, we got to her and that Cloud, as troublesome as he is, defeated Rand and made him retreat.

Since then, Legion made a mental attack on Ayn and harmed her more before her father, Vorena, destroyed him. It seems two off the Gin's have gathered here, as well as a group of us who want to protect Ayn. It might take a while, but I think she'll be ok... Despite some things like the fight behind me, it's been quite since Legion was defeated. Though I heard about a ghost... Strange. That's all there is to tell. Ayn's on edge on the time because of her mental state, and we're all worried Rand or someone else is gonna attack any moment. We're surviving though." Lara sighs, realizing for the first time what a wretched state they were in.
((*closes plothole*))

"You make it all sound so bleak, Lara." Rose keeps her eyes on the gargoyle. Her attack sinks into her opponent, and would take sometime before it worked. ((Yay for BSing.)) She's breathing hard, and her wounds are still bleeding freely. But she seems okay enough. "You fail to mention that we saved the world, and that my...mother...fell in love, and some of the other good that came out of all of this."

Lara shrugs. "I suppose. It's not surprising Gale wouldn't take loss well, it's surprising he found someone he loved. It's sad, really." Lara looks at Ayn. "Yeah, she'd probably want to see him."

"So it is settled then," Avalon breaks in after being silent for a few minutes. "We will go after Rand in order to protect our family. However... we need to be united." He walks over to the door of the room and locks it. He turns to face his brothers. "We're not going to leave here until you two make your peace with each other."

Bern looks at ayn and says... "I did not mean to be a burden Ayn. I had no idea that this is a sacred place for you or that rose wasn't alone. I shall help you until my debt is repaid as my apologies, I mainly just wanted to collect my bounty and begone. However i will not stop hunting Rose's sword! I shall end this fight and bring peace to this room." With saying this he passes Rose in order to reclaim his chair. He reforms into his human form and sits down. ((Sorry fury! no pwning! :P))

Cloud keeps his distance from the Gin's and folds his arms, leaning on the wall next to the door. Unwittingly he butts into the conversation a bit. "That may be the least of your concerns once you meet Rand. I hope you all settle things down in time before he divides and conquers." He sighs and looks down.

Avalon turns to look at Cloud. "Thank you, Strife. I hope you will be able to join us when we go after Rand, if that's no problem with you."

Cloud looks up, smirking. "I beat him once, I'm sure I wouldn't mind doing it again. Though I'm sure he's ready for next time but with all three of you the tables may have turned."

Cloud looks over to Vorena. "That reminds me of Gale as well... But you two must get over it. I am sure that you had a good idea for your so-called 'deserting' and I'm sure that Onarav is being the way he is because he only wants the best for his race and is protective of your culture and whatnot." He swallows, attempting to be as respectful to the opposite Gin's for Avalon's sake. Obviously fighting wasn't the thing Avalon was most fond of.

Avalon sighs, shooting a glance at Cloud and then back to his brothers. "Vorena, there's something you have to understand. I say this only as a peace maker, I do not want you to take offense. I think what Onarav means is... Well, you weren't around to fight in the war. You left before our children were even born. You didn't see the deaths of all our childhood friends. I think Onarav just means.. it would have been better if you stayed around, we wouldn't have gone through as much trouble if we were together." Avalon looks down at the ground.

Rose snarls at Bern and throws her empty soda can at him. "Don't get all buddy-buddy with me. As far as I'm concerned, you are my enemy." Noticing his attention on Fate, she sheathes it and snarls at him again. "So you're just going to stick around here until I'm not paying attention so you can snitch Fate? That's not going to happen. I sleep with this sword, Bern."

"Don't worry im not a thief... im a collector. I'd rather fight you for it anyway, that way I know it's mine." Bern stretches his arms and folds them on his chest, looking for something to do.

She narrows her eyes, but seems to take his word for it. Glancing around the rather boring library, she stands and stretches. "Libraries are boring. Need something to do...guess I'll go for a walk." She glances at Bern. "You're not going to stalk me, are you?"
